The goal of the event was to discuss and work out joint plans on cooperation in the field of education, culture and media.  The delegates represented the leading US media outlets whose journalists have extensive experience of working in Russia.

Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy of General Director of ITAR-TASS, opened the Conference by thanking the University for providing an opportunity to interact with students and answer their questions online.

The Conference concluded with the round table on professional ethics moderated by Pavel Gusev, editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets  and Chairman of the Journalists’ Union.

Eastern affairs have been the goal extensive studies at RSUH since the moment of its creation.  According to Mr. Ambassador, the representatives of Kuwait are always open for communication with students majoring in Arab Affairs.  To this effect the Embassy holds regular meetings with invited diplomats, politicians and scientists.

According to Mr. Almuzayyan, the modern communication media play but a secondary role in protests. He also talked about the situation in Egypt, the key player in the region.

 In his opening speech, Dr. Pivovar congratulated everyone on behalf of the faculty and staff of RSUH, saying that the only unfortunate moment of the day was saying goodbye to people who had become family over the past years.

 Congratulatory speeches were also made by RSUH alumni, Mr. Kalina, head of the Deartment of Education of Moscow as well as representatives of DAAD in Russia.
